You are all invited to join us in the town of Olds (60 miles north of Calgary) for the 16th annual Rocket Round Up July 18th, 2009. Cars 1939 and older are free to register.
There will be music (with Oldsmobile songs), a 50/50 engine blow contest, (not an Oldsmobile) Long Distance Awards, Mayor's Choice Award given by the Mayor of Olds, RCMP certificate (the car they'd least like to chase) given by one of the officers at the show, The Oldest Oldsmobile at Olds Award, door prizes, mini-Oldsmobile artwork with easle for the first 50 registered cars that show up, free hot dogs and soft drinks and a banquet at the Royal Canadian Legion after the show.
Go to www.oldsnorthernlights.com and click on "show" to see some cars from previous shows. There will also be Oldsmobilia for sale. If you'd like to join us you can download a registration form from the above website (we had 70 cars that registered last year) or email me for a form (ken.pilidis@shaw.ca)
You can meet us in Olds or stay in Calgary or Edmonton and caravan with the group. Calgary caravan leaves Deerfoot Mall at 9 am and 8 am from Gateway Park in Edmonton on the day of the show.
Hope to see some of you there, especially the ones that are relatively close (AB, BC, SK, WA, ID, MT).
