I have seen one other car like this one. It was even the same colour...unless this is the same car. I've heard that Hurst did "modify" a few cars like this. I don't think she'll get $30K for it, but I hope she does. Also, about the 455 in Cutlass cars...I spoke with Helen Earlry and she told me the samething, approx. 1.5 - 1.6% of Cutlasses had the 455. She said the 442 was about 1.5% too. 9,576 442's (1.5%) = 143, unless my math is off.

It's really a neat car. Love that color! I bet that does NOT blend well with traffic! With the 455, dual gate, T tops...nice! Oh, and let's not forget the 8-TRACK!! I leave Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" in mine! I would have thought that when that car was ordered, they would have gone with the sport steering wheel. Then again, I would have thought the same about my 442! I think it kicks ass that the owner included all that information. I hate seeing "car for sale, V8, ran when parked (87 years ago, but should start right up), selling for friend so refer all questions to them. Regardless, I would definitely like to add that car to my collection. :D

Neat car. There's a pissing contest going on over on the mailing list about the authenticality (is that a word?) of the Hurst Olds Emblems and treatment. I suspect a dealer had left over parts and may have made more than one. Happens all the time.

To the right buyer it probably would get his starting bid. I am not that buyer, lol.

For that $, I'd hope the engine compartment was 100% detailed.. that one is a little rough around the edges.

Isn't that Don Boyd's old car? He used to post on OCC and the Olds list. I think a link to his page is still on the yahoo list. I remember when he had it up for sale, I'm pretty sure he didn't get anywhere near 30k for it. [If it's the same car, sure looks like it too me].

Cool car either way.
