I have been to 10 Dallas Stars home games in the last few years. I have driven my 442 to 6 of those games including the game today. The Stars have managed to lose every time I drive the 442. They blew a goal lead in the third today. Of the other 4 games I attended they won 3 and lost 1. I rode with other people or took the train to those games. It was a nice sunny day to drive the 442 to a hockey game but it would be oh so much nicer to leave with a W. :(
Since we need a new poll, here you go.

First of all.. What in the H e double hockey sticks are you doing driving a classic to a parking lot full of 1/2 drunk hockey fans! I Love Hockey!
Second ...If you like hockey its usually a cold climate sport, but that has nothing to do with this topic so I voted for the Stars are just bad choice..
LOL
LETS GO FLYERS!!!

Okay, I actually like the Flyers. I had a room mate from Philly for many years so I watched alot of Flyer's games. And I drive my car, alot. Taking it somewhere fun like a hockey game just adds to the overall excitement of the outing. I worry about it sitting in a lot but I'm careful, never park on the end of a row and watch where and who I park next to. I parked between an Acura NSX and a Benz S600 in a part of the lot that has a pie shaped curve to it so the spaces are wider by just a bit. My car has a few door dings anyway so one more wouldn't kill me. Even if I get my car painted someday, I'll drive it. I take it to concerts, sporting events, out to eat, the movies, swap meets. I don't take it to grocery stores or Target and Walmart but I go everywhere else with it. These car are meant for driving and you guys should be driving yours. Life is short and I like to enjoy my car as much as I can.
The hockey fans here are half drunk at least, when the puck drops at 2:00pm on a day game beer is flowing freely. I didn't drink any, at $8 for a big beer, the price is just stupid. The guy sitting behind me drank at least $64 worth,
and for cold climate sport it was 28 here last night and that is cold climate enough for me. I hate to admit it but the Stars may just be bad. We are really struggling lately, but of course, Go Stars! Maybe we can beat the Penguins today.:D

Bruins... are long overdue.. didnt the Stars win a cup in the last 10 years? Its been 37 years here with out a cup in the NorthEast where hockey can be played outside today!! LOL
I must say its real cool to take the 442 to a hockey game. Why not??????? Enjoy her while you have the car.. enjoy the memories. I remember the days I would take my car everywhere.. it was awesome

The car will never be a curse to the hockey team. That is the final word. I have spoken.
Its the Stars not the car. I am a New England native so by birth and choice a die hard Bruins fan. Last last time I got to see them was in Dallas on new years eve of 1998, and the Bruins lost, still a lot of fun.

You drove your car to the game last night didn't you? I say jinx.
Actually it may start jinxing your entire life. Had any home problems lately? Work problems, love life? I thought so.
The only solution is to get rid of the car!!! Selling it will not cure you. I have it on good authority the bad karma can not cross the border. As a fellow member I am willing to help you out and come and get it. No need to thank me. Where do you live? I am available next week.

This was the closest my car came to a hockey game...outside the Montreal Forum in 1979. Canadiens vs. Rangers and the Habs winning their 22nd Stanley Cup. I went to the 1976, 1977, 1978 Stanley Cup parade and if I had have stayed one more week, I would have gone to the 1979 parade as well. Recently went through a rough period, but it looks like we're back on track. :D
Go Habs Go!

For those who answered "What's hockey". Let see if I can help.....oh yes, hockey is the major professional North American sport where its players are not in the news because of _______possession (Fill in blank with "gun", "drug") or ________violence (fill in blank with "domestic" or "drunken" or can be left blank). And the game is the "coolest" on earth. :p

Gotta say I'm not really one to follow hockey but Ken is right, very rarely do you read about one of the sport's athletes in the news for "bad stuff."
Locally it was big news here late last year about Joe Sakic of the Avalanche having a snowblower incident at his house. Seems that he put his hand in a snowblower chute to clear it. Bad idea! He broke three fingers and had to have surgery on his hand because of tendon damage. He was very lucky he didn't lose any fingers. Kind of cool though that the guy is worth millions and he still clears his own driveway instead of hiring someone to do it!

Now I like hockey as much or more than most but come on, there are plenty of athlete shenanigans. Stars just dumped Sean Avery for his "sloppy seconds" comments during an interview. Ed Belfour was drunk and acting up while visting here in Dallas about a year ago or so. I'm sure I could google up other examples. Mostly, the players are pretty well behaved off ice. I will admit the Dallas Cowboys team probably has more incidents than the entire NHL put together but hopefully that is now in the past with the T.O. circus leaving town, popcorn and all.
Hockey is great but those guys are no angels.:D

You're right, they are no angels...they just look like angels next to the NBA, NFL and sometimes the MBL. :p

I have to admit, hockey was the most non stop exciting sport I ever attended. We went to a minor league game in Macon Ga. once and my daughter was around 7 and her scrawny backside didn't hit her sear for 10 min. the whole game. As for your car, just don't drive it to any UT Vols games. they are haveing enough trouble on thier own.
