Hi guys, I am considering changing my manifold. I currently have the original 425 manifold on my car. It is a Toronado engine. I don't want an EGR manifold and I don't want the heater control valve to be the older (more costly)smaller threaded size. I like my current manifold just fine but I don't want to pay 89.00 dollars for the HCV. I have a HCV for a 74 that I can put on but it is the bigger style and it is also the 90 degree style(which I like), and it won't fit the older style manifold. So I guess my question is this: is there a manifold that has the newer HCV and no EGR? What years are they? I have thought of things to do like getting an adapter or something like that to make it work so I can use the newer HCV, I've also thought about the possibilities of having it tapped to the larger size if that's even an option. Any thoughts? Thanks.

That's a stumper. There must be a 455 intake out there without EGR. I suppose you could make or buy a nice block off plate for the EGR if you had to. I love the old 425's.

Does anyone know if anyone sells a block off plate for the egr valve?

I know a fuel pump blockoff fits one side of the intake but I dont know which side.

On that plate it fits the Olds egr but you have to drill out the one hole larger for the fatter bolt. I used on my 455 Intake.

For the time being I'm going to keep my 425 manifold. I thought my heater control valve was bad but I found out it is working properly. No point in changing it when I don't have to. I'll keep looking for the right manifold. I've heard that the Toro manifold flows really well so I'd like to keep it if possible.
