Everyone wants a dual gate and needs a header emblem and stainless quarter window trim. Here is something you may not know you need. You might not even know your car has a factory mount for this and will fit this with no problems. You might already have one of these.
Every 73-77 Olds Cutlass Has This! A place to install this map light is already cut out and the screw holes are drilled in the inner roof structure of your car. Not only every Cutlass and 442 but all Regals, Monte Carlos, Chevelles, Centurys, Grans Sports, Grand Prix', Lagunas,S-3s, SS's Malibus, Lemans, GTOs, GTs Grand Ams, Can Ams and El Caminos from 73-77. I have one of these from the factory in my 76 Monte Carlo, so I found one for my 442 in a 4 door Regal at the wrecking yard. I think I paid $2. I have seen them in tan, black, red, white, maroon and blue. I'm sure they come in most interior colors. It is super easy to pull if you find one in a car at the yard. You might want to write down this list of tools you will need: phillips head screw driver. The wire runs over to and down the driver's side windshield post from just above the rear view mirror, dead center. It will have a push in wire clip about half way down the post and I think everycar has the hole for this clip too, then runs down under the dash and plugs in the fuse box or to another wire with a jumper that goes into the fuse box, depending on how many power options your car has.
Cool option, that adds little weight and is very easy to retrofit to your car. You can just plug it in. NO cutting of your original wire harness. But you will have to cut a hole in your headliner. If you don't want to go on faith you can feel the square hole by pushing carefully against the headliner right at the front edge, dead center. Your car should have the cut out and mounting holes. I have seen a NOS map light go for less than $20 on Ebay. Good luck.
