Well.. 8 years later.. Andre combined with my dad got my ass in gear. About time I guess.. This is what a tree at 25 MPH does combined with 8 years of being under a cover outside.

First thing I'd do is pull the front clip and see if the frame is repairable, hard to tell from the pics. The rest of the car looks pretty solid. You could make some cash if you parted it out, but that's no fun.......get to work! lol

Todd, I have another frame if need be.. the body is bent though.. I'm going to get it in the garage next weekend and see if the frame is rotted at all from sitting.. and go from there.

What about finding a really solid '75 Supreme, then convert it into the H/O using items from the wrecked H/O? But then again, that's a tough choice. Our cars, from what I can tell, are really just now getting popular with other car guru's. If it is a "sentimental" piece, take the time to get into it and bring it back to life. If not, parting it out might be the best "economical" decision (although I hate saying that). What I hate is that if that is a '68 or '69 H/O model, there would be no question, someone would restore it, spare no expense and the car would still be worth $75k and up. If you sink $25k into your car, it might be worth $12 to $15k? Personally, I would restore that car. They are rare and I love them. Good luck. Keep us posted with pics if you decide to redo it...

Brad, "parting it" and cutting bait, so to speak, isn't an option..
It's really either
1. Fix mine as is.. Mine definitely needs floors.. I riveted in sheet metal. Was good when I was 17, but, I'm pickier.
2. Do a combination of use my body (which will need to be straightened still) on a good clean frame (which I have).
3. Get a Supreme, swap everything.
I need to look around as it comes down to price. There really aren't any 75 Supreme's local here. I know I could go further out.. But then it turns into the "what about vin tags blah blah", and it'd be nice to fix mine.
I need to actually look UNDER the car, see how bad it really is. I know I diamond'd the frame when I hit the tree. If anyone is curious what happened, I wasn't goofing around or anything stupid. I swapped on an aluminum intake, and I had the mechanical cruise control. I neglected to check the throttle cable for clearance EACH TIME I ADJUSTED THE CRUISE ROD.
Pedal got stuck after I took off from my house.. Got the car in neutral got the car off.. turned the key to LOCK (remember, Olds with headers, you lose the column lockout rod). flipped back and forth with the key panicking... by the time I realized it, I was going off road :( I suck.

Paul, that's a bummer on how it happened, but at least you were ok. If you have another frame that would probably be the way to go. Hopefully you can get the body straight, Sherman & ass. has floorboards for it. I did bump & paint work for a living in the late '80's early '90's and just do my own stuff and little jobs nowadays. Either way you decide, good luck.
