I was checking out cardomain.com when i saw a post about this site. I was extremely excited. I have had my 1977 442 for almost 8 years. My uncle ordered it in october of 1976 and took delivery in december 1976. He passed it on to me in sept. 1999 when I was a senior in highschool. I had big plans as many guys my age did. I rebuilt the tired, but steady olds 350 that winter and planed on having the rusted 1/4 panels replaced too. Well at least the car ran the next spring. I had fun with it for the next five summers I took it on my honeymoon, gave my baby girl her first offical cruise when she was three months old, and then last winter a very good friend and I set off too give the body some needed TLC. I was tired of seeing people get that " Hey Nice Car" look and have it fade when they saw the rear of the car detroyed by Minnesota winters. So now in a few weeks I hope to take my wife our 2 year old daughter and my 7 month old son for a cruise in a car everyone can appreciate. I love these forgotten Oldsmobiles, i grew up an Olds fan and always will be.
