Ken, are those the stainless S quarter window trim? Are you missing a section? If so, let me know which side. I may have the piece your missing, I ended up with an extra top section. Nice selection of parts you have there.
Those white interior pieces should sell quick, those are hard to come by.

Yes, the stainless quarter window trim. I think I have the other piece, I just have to do a little digging. Picked them up a couple of years ago, so it must be around. Don't know what side it's for...yet.:)

The bumper strip is in great shape. Has all the connection tabs. I got it from a guy in our car club who use to collect car parts for 76/77 Cutlasses. Actually he just sold his car. It was the blue Cutlass Supreme that I posted her last month. I would have bought it myself but I have 4 cars already and a 2 car garage.
The wheel well mouldings are in good shape but there are a few dings - they are not perfect, but they are in decent shape. I was keeping them for spares for my car.
All these parts were spares for my 442 and the 77 442 that I had before the Vette.
Rear Bumper Moulding: $40 + shipping
2 Wheel Well Mouldings: $40 + shipping
Bumper & wheel mouldings $75 + shipping

This appears to be the same header emblem that my '76 442 H/O has on it. I know it isn't diamond shaped but it does fit and looks good. Found on ebay, not my auction:

Actually the correct colour is buckskin. It's for the T tops in the first picture and it's attached. The t-tops, weatherstrip and complete roof all go as a package. Attached to the roof are sunvisors and a combination map and dome reading lamps.

The one I have is in excellent condition. However it is a spare for my car. So, it's not worth what I'd ask for it. I'm like a smoker with one cigarette left. I could probably go for days without one, but if I didn't have one, I'd need one. So, with that said, here is a nice one that you can get for a reasonable price. I'm not trying to screw anyone so I did a search for you.
Good luck

Not to ruin anyones parts sale or dissuade anyone from putting the Hurst hatches in your car but DON'T DO IT. They are with out a doubt the worst part of my 76 442. The cause noticable cowl shake at freeway speeds. Leaked even when they were new and have a sparse part supply. I have wished my car had a solid roof many times. I have been in other t top equipped cars and have owned many different models with tops and my Hurst hatches are by far the worst even though I have worked and tweaked on them to keep them from leaking and rattling. They are probably better than 90 percent of cars with the Hurst hatches but they are far from good. Chopping holes in your roof is a bad idea even if you're Hurst. Taking them on and off can be a hassle and don't drop one. The fresh air is nice when they are removed but a power sunroof or ragtop would be better if you need the wind in your hair. I know those weren't options for our cars and the Hurst hatches were. Plus the tint technology in the 70's was non existant, so they may as well be clear glass as far as the protection from the sun they give you. Just my 2 cents worth...

I noticed some of those problems with my '76 before I disassembled it. They really didn't do a very good job on the conversion. Now that it's basically a bare shell I was going to try and do a better job of reinforcing the roof panel. At least there wasn't any cracks in the sheetmetal like I've seen on some cars. I do think the car looked sharp with the t-tops removed, something a little different anyway. It is kind of a give and take though.
FWIW, the t-tops on mine did not leak. From what I've heard over the years, I'ts gotta be one of the few that didn't.

I have seen a 76 Monte Carlo that had a GM factory power sun roof and I have seen a couple of Pontiac Can Ams that had this option also. Has anyone ever seen a Cutlass or 442 with this rare option? This was the sun roof with the metal sliding door, it slid back inside the roof. I know the Vista vent was available at one time too.

Yeah I've even seen cars(Camaros and Firebirds) with the better designed Fisher tops crack and rip the sheet metal.
Your car must have been the only one that didn't leak. Mine never leaks when driving only if it sits outside in a downpour, then it will collect a little water on the floor mats but only a very small amount.
ragz442
09-27-2007, 10:42 PM
When I first looked at it before buying it a couple years ago it was sitting outside during a major downpour. The floorpans, carpet etc. were dry and no signs of water inside anywhere. The only through rust in the pans is the drivers footwell, but that was due to a big hole some bonehead punched in the firewall and didn't seal up [you can follow/see the stain to the pan]. I've never seen a factory power sunroof on a mid year Cutlass except the 73 Vista Vent, and from what I understand they're pretty rare. Not saying there isn't any, I've just never seen one. I feel the same way about sunroofs as you do about t-tops, my 77-442 has one and I wish it didn't.

Yeah I only like the factory power sun roof. Those JC Whitney/ Monkey Wards/Western Auto aftermarket roof holes don't do anything for me. I actually think of them as lowering the value of the car.
