Guys,

I have 1977 442 that I have had for years and the 350 is dog tired with 175K on it. What should I put back in it; 455, 403 350? I have a turbo 350 tranny and don't know for sure what gears in the rearend.

HELP.............................................. .................

Without a doubt 455. I went from a 260 to 455. I kept the 350 trans for now. Put a shift kit in it.

Rearend is the 2.41 unless it was swapped at some point.

Put a 455 in there.

What are you looking for? I was wondering the same thing as you and I've decided to stick with my 350.

Mine is still running good, however. The 350 will produce better gas mileage and can still be built to put out quite a bit of power.
