Took the 442 in to Aamco yesterday for a tranny oil change and filter. Guy calls me at work and says that there is metal shavings in the pan. OK, rebuild it, I tell him, although I don't know why it needs rebuilding as it was checked last year.
Anyway, in 1992 I had the trans rebuilt. When it was done I was asked if I wanted to pay $900 or $1100. The $900 bill came with a guaranteed for 6 months, the $1100 bill came with a guarantee for LIFE.:D I chose life (Note: Not a political rant). So today, the tranny will be rebuilt again FREE OF CHARGE. cool: Other item with a life guarantee on the 442:
