Can anyone tell me what other GM models share the same heater core as my 73 supreme? I currently have an A/C heater core, but with no other A/C parts, I'd just as well want to get a heater only core to free up some engine bay room. I was also wondering if the heater controlls would be the same on the dash, since I have one from the Heater A/C unit. Thanks!

You'll need to get a no air box for the firewall. If you get a factory box, you'll have to do some body work on the firewall, or you can buy an aftermarket one.

Is there an easy/ doable way to check out my A/C equipped heater core to see if repair is viable? i have no components besides the heater core, but if it's possible i'd like to maintain some originality to the car. Thanks,

I don't think anyone would know the heater core isn't original. You can't see anything but the hose nipples when it is installed and when the heater hoses are on you can't really even see the nipples(unless it's cold out:p with a t-shirt ). The only way I know to check it for leaks is to pressurize it and hold it under water. It would probably be cheaper to replace it than having a radiator shop repair it. When I couldn't find one for the Caddy Seville I had, I checked the radiator shop I used and he was going to recore it for me for $110, or patch it for $40 with no guarantee it wouldn't start leaking somewhere else. I finally found the correct replacement for about $80. The parts store heater cores I had ordered were listed as correct in the books, they weren't. Same for the ones listed on eBay. Not the right part. Good luck.
