hey ragz -- i hate to admit that i was "checking out your rear" but your exhaust is fantastic. Is that a local shop doing that work?

Thanks! Yea I had both cars done at the local Muffler Man. 2 1/4" on the Supreme [w/manifolds], turbo mufflers, 4 years ago, $250. 2 1/2" on the 442 [w/headers], turbo mufflers, 3 years ago, $300. He dumped the tp's the normal way on the Supreme. Didn't know he was going to kick them out on an angle on the 442, but I didn't mind, at least he made them even.

Man, I need to move to Detroit. My left exhaust hangs down terribly, must of been the laziest exhaust shop on the east coast. Oh well. Just out of curiosity, what did you do about your crossmember? I had a hump cut into mine. Again, lazy job. Sigh.

I've got the earlier dual hump crossmembers [73-74] on all my cars, they're fairly easy to come by. All 73-74 A bodys are the same. Both my 442's had them when I bought em, I got the one for our Supreme about 5 years ago from fellow member Dennis [w451973]. Here's a rear pic of the '77, had to crop it down, looks a little funny/distorted.

Thanks. I gave her a dusting, but haven't washed her yet. Haven't washed any of them yet.:D Just putsin' around the garage installing a garage door opener because my old one gave up the ghost. Got a Nikon D70s Digital for my birthday in January and this is the first time I had a chance to take shots of the cars.

Looks sharp. So which car gets more miles? I never understood the attraction of corvettes until my girlfriend's mother's boyfriend let me drive his (late 70s model.) After that, I understood. ;)

Thanks. The grill and headlight bezels were painted about 1982. In 2005, I drove the Vette to Montreal and back (through the states) and about a month after that, the family and I drove to Seattle to see the Olds Nationals. Stayed at buddys house. I'd say right now the vette get's a little more mileage because of the gas prices. Every July I do take the 442 to the Town of Olds, Alberta for the annual Northern Lights Rocket Round-Up. It's about 240 miles round trip for the 4 hr show. It takes a full tank there and back.:(

I never understood the attraction of the Corvette either until a few years ago. But I wanted a 4 speed to play around with so I bought this one for $5000 US. The guy who owned it had a heart attack and wanted to get rid of it. Turns out it's one of 3 similar optioned cars sent to Canada out of 28.
L82, 4 spd, FE7 suspension, Aluminum wheels, air, etc.

Corvette owners have a tradition of waving to each other when seeing another one on the road. That's cool. I get a lot of comments on the vette at lights and just driving around (it's the last Stingray - a 1976). But I get more thumbs up driving the 442 on the highway. In Vancouver two years ago while stopped at light, a guy walking across the street yells out "Wow!" Points at the 442 and then holds his heart and give me the thumbs up.:)

On the Corvette it's code 22 Bright Corvette Blue

On the 442 it's code 35 Dark Blue Metallic with the silver stripe

BTW, the paint on the 442 is 20 years old this year.

Dang. Wish I`de seen this before posting in general rocketry. Love the banner. Lots of sweet rides. Call me wierd but I like to see pics of unfinished projects. I`m jealous. Feel free to use any of the pics of my old 75 thats in the introduction section in my post. :)
