If anyone is interested, this car is local for me. I can look it over and take some pictures and give a walk around description over the phone while there. I can go look at it for you but please in these days of $3.25 a gallon gas be sure you are interested. I'd hate to see it go to the crusher.

I asked the seller for the vin, if he has a clear Texas title and if I can look it over in person.

I think that car was on ebay a while ago. There were a pair for sale. The other was white with cranberry stripe. Auction winner won both cars. They looked like they had sat for a looooong time. I'll see if I can dig up a pic when I get home.

I think I saw them on Auto Trader's collector car trader site some time back.
It would be nice to see someone snap it up & bring it back from the dead.

The seller responded and says the vin is 3G37M3R164... and that he has the title and that I can see it this weekend. If anyone is interested just let me know. I don't know 73s all that well but doesn't the M in the vin mean 350? Not the 455 turbo 400 the seller is claiming was originally in the car.

That VIN code shows a 1973 cutlass, hardtop sedan, 350 motor built in Arlington Texas.

Bert I think your right! I seen them too. For a long while they were listed together for sale. The white one had funny side windows to if my memory serves me right.......

I wonder where the white car went. If I remember correctly, the previous auction was for both cars as a package deal. I think it's definitely worth the BIN price.

Of course they'd look good side by side. But then again, we're clearly biased! I can't sell it to you as I don't want to let you have ALL the 73s in the northeast! Wait a minute...why, did you end up picking up Stan's too?

That's too bad. His car was one hell of a deal, IMO. I paid the same amount for mine in 2000. I'm still waiting to see if I can score these two before they disintegrate.

It kills me EVERY DAY I DRIVE BY IT!!!   I hope it'll be salvageable. I'm going to stop by again in a month or so when I get my cars out of storage. I hope the owner gets out of the old adage "less is more", because each year, there's less and less of the car, but he wants more money!

Same car for sure, no doubt. I recently pulled some nice interior trim from a maroon 74 S with those same style opera windows. The full size side window is under all that vinyl top. It really protects the side trim from sun damage but that about the only advantage I can see to having those windows. I had a friend that had a green 70 LT1 Z/28 that had those opera windows from new. The Camaro had to have 2 big holes cut in it for the windows. They were ugly on that car too.:(
