Need help again

I still havn't bought the car yet (Is it a real 442), because the seller was in the hospital, and I was away for a bit. I called to set up a time to go and get it (the car is a couple of hours drive from me) and the seller told me that while he was in the hospital someone smashed the drivers side window out of the car. He has been trying to find a new one since, but no luck so far. My question is, it seems that the 442 roofline is different from the Cutlass Supreme. Does anybody know what other models would have the same side glass? I'm thinking that finding drivers side glass specific to a 442 might be pretty tough to do. I have called a GM dealer, and they no longer carry them, and the local glass company doesn't have a supplier that carries them, so I guess a wrecking yard may be the only resource, and the ones I have called haven't been able to tell me what if any other glass will fit.

does anyone know if 75 glass is same? also get a hold of psquare he has a few in bone yards he can get for the car.

any 76-77 glass will work not sure about 75 i have a 75 door glass around i think

I'm thinking any of the 73-77 GM A bodys with fastback roof will work. I've got a drivers glass but I'm pretty sure it's off a Supreme, I'll ckeck when I get a chance. Don't let the broken glass discourage you from buying the car, It shouldn't be too hard to find one.

Supreme glass is different then "S" glass, that 76 S has good glass in a yard near me.

All 73-77 Cutlass, Cutlass S and 442 share the same glass. Like stated before, Supreme is different. Some of the other A-bodies are saposed to be the same, but why bother. You will not have a hard time finding what you need. Just get your car home first. Then post an ad in the wanted section. Make sure to ADD your location.
